Bitch session - have to vent
Ok - I am having a day - no, wait, scratch that - I am having a freakin hell of a time lately and I have to vent.
Here is what is happening - and it is all stress and hopefully all will be well soon.
As we know - I work for an OB/GYN office. The lady who runs the office is a nice enough woman - hell, she gave me a chance when I needed one. But I am finding myself really irritated with her lately. I am not sure what the hell happened. A little background real quick - about a month ago, when my boss lady found out I was wanting to move - she tried to sell me her house. Granted - it is a nice house - but it is WAY out of my price range. I turned her down (even after she said she would work an amazing deal for me). I think I pissed her off. SOOOOOO - last week - I heated up some left over potatoes and part of an omelet for my breakfast. Boss lady comes out of her office with her nose in the air and stating something smells. When she found out it was my food - I got an air freshner in my office and the door shut. Yeah -it was great. Staying of the food issue - it happened again this morning. Only this time - she was more of a bitch and told me I need to eat in the back next time. Now - everyone else in this office said one of two things (1) that smells good or (2) I don't really smell anything. Another side note - EVERYONE ELSE IN THIS FREAKING OFFICE CAN EAT AT THEIR DESK - WTF IS WRONG WITH MY FOOD????
Ok - issue #2
I am "supposed" to be working on cleaning up the billing issues and outstanding claims for this office. There are hundreds of claims involved. I am only one person. In order to research these claims - 99% of the time you have to call the insurance companies and sit on hold forever before talking to a human being. The other 1% of the time - you can get the info you need online. I am currently researching two claims and have been on-hold for 15+ minutes. multiply this out - and you can see where I am coming from. Ok - now - take into consideration that I have become the front desk filler-in bitch. The lady who is watching the front desk right now is usually a medical assistant but her doc left the practice in December. In order to keep her job, they offered her the front desk. Any guesses on how many days a week she is actually AT the front desk? In a typical week - 2. There is one other lady who helps fill in - but any guesses of how many days I end up at the front desk? At least 2. I can't be on-hold with an insurance company AND check people in - there is no way. SOOOOOO - that cuts my days at my desk down considerably. Wanna know what happened yesterday???? Boss lady comes into my office, shuts the door and starts "I know I keep giving you things to do - but - - -" (Now nothing good can come out of this statement - you know that right?) She hands me a spreadsheet with over 350 claims on it, all of them are over 90 days old, and she tells me she needs them all researched by May 31st. WTF???? Who does she think I am? I am done - I am burnt.
Add all this crap to my personal life - and I am not impressed and not at all in the mood to pretend that I am.

go to her and tell her that if you are going to have any chance of completing the research you have to be excused from the front desk. If whiney baby lady can get out of front desk duty, so can you. And I would BS her and tell her that you really regret that you couldn't buy her house, because it would be perfect (blah blah blah) but there was no way that you guys could swing it right now. And you are really bummed about it. Tell her that you know she is trying to sell it, and if you are telling anyone you know looking for a house about hers cause it is so great. *cough*cough*BS*cough*cough
