HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!

I just have to post and say Happy Valentine's Day! I love this holiday! I love everything about it! I love that once a year I get to celebrate in public that I love my husband and he can't do anything about it! He so does not like any public displays of affection (well holding hands is ok) - but, for example, if I go to see him at his work - he is an aircraft mechanic and it is mostly men around - he so does not like it if I say "LOVE YOU" out loud. I guess he gets harrassed cuz we have a strong marriage - men *pfft*!!!

Anyway - I absolutely love Valentine's Day! And more than anything - I love our routine on Valentine's Day! My now nine year old son gets a dinner of his choice - one year it was a frozen personal pizza - this year is Subway - I have it written down so I don't get it wrong - lol --- a club on white bread with mayo, mustard, pickles and olives - and of course the ever popular cookie (not that he won't be bringing home a crap load of candy from school - but I am focused on the bigger picture here). He will also get a video game of his choosing. He eats and then he disappears into his room therefore leaving my husband and I to fend for ourselves!

And fend we do. Tonite's menu: Fillet mignons, jumbo shrimp, baked taters and wine all by candlelite. We will get left alone for the most part. Then, because we are both NASCAR fanatics, we will be watching a tribute to the late Dale Earnhardt (not at all romantic - but we like it - besides it lets dinner settle - right?). Then off to bed and to sleep much, much later (wink)!!!
