Am I nuts???

Ok - am I nuts? I was offered an administrative job with the County that I live in. I was offered that job on 2/23/06. Two days prior to that - as a courtesy (and because the HR person with the County asked me to) I told my boss at the OB/GYN office I work for that she should expect a phone call from someone for a reference because I "might" be offered a position. My boss almost cried - made me feel like shit but I stood my ground - UNTIL - she told me that she couldn't loose me. She told me that since I started cleaning up their billing - the office has seen a great increase in revenue. She also told me that I am only one of a couple people that she could really depend on and that she saw me someday stepping into the role of office manager. Then she did the one thing I didn't think would happen - she offered me more money an hour than the County job, told me she was going to move me into a more active role in billing and even offered to help me keep my coding credentials!!! So I did the one thing I didn't think I would do - I stayed. I hope I am not a nut case! I really do enjoy the work I do and the people I work for. The only reason I was applying for the County job was the increase in pay and maybe just a little because it was a government job. But I think I did the right thing - at least it feels right (for now).
Anyway - where else can you go to work, remember you have a doctor's appointment at another office and also remember that you forgot to shave (the appointment is for my knee - get your minds out of the gutter people) and then be able to correct that mistake - lol!!! YUP - I was able to get a hold of a razor and shave my leg in the bathroom at work! **sigh** yes - I like where I am!
